Freight Broker Agent- Unlimited Earning Potential!
Base Salary plus commission: Annual income up to $120,000
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Freight Broker at BIR Transport located in Knoxville, TN. The Freight Broker will be responsible for managing transportation logistics, negotiating freight rates, and coordinating with carriers and customers. Other day-to-day tasks include dispatching shipments, maintaining customer accounts, and ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods.
Responsibilities
- This position will entail working with our sales team, carriers, and other logistical partners to provide excellent customer experiences for the life cycle of each Truckload
- You will play a vital role in the development of our business
- Multitask between various forms of communication (email, phone, text,IM)
- Negotiate rates with carriers in a fast-paced environment
- Actively seeking new shipper clients through cold calling, networking, and market research.
- Establishing strong partnerships with both shippers and carriers to foster long-term business.
Qualifications
- Freight Brokerage and Brokerage skills
- Customer Service and Account Management skills
- Experience in Dispatching and coordinating shipments
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work on-site in Knoxville
- Experience in the transportation industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, or related field is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
