We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tree Climber to join our team. As a Tree Climber, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently climbing trees to perform various tree care and maintenance tasks. This is a physically demanding role that requires expertise in tree climbing techniques and equipment operation.
Duties:
- Safely climb trees using appropriate climbing techniques and equipment
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removals as directed
- Operate bucket trucks and other equipment for elevated work
- Use chainsaws, hand tools, and other equipment to complete tree care tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Assist with clean-up and debris removal after tree work is completed
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Tree Climber or similar role
- Proficiency in tree climbing techniques, including the use of ropes, harnesses, and other safety equipment
- Familiarity with bucket truck operation for elevated work
- Knowledge of tree care practices, including trimming, pruning, and removals
- Ability to identify different types of trees and their specific needs
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Skills:
- Climbing Trees
- Experience with Chainsaw and operating equipment
- Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information System) software is a plus
- Experience operating bucket trucks for tree work is highly desirable
- Familiarity with lawn care practices is beneficial
